They settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Bartel Krug was a farmer from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that he was a hat maker (Hutmacher) from the German village of Lübetz in the Kurmainz region.
