Pracht (Katharinenstadt-2)

Johann Martin Pracht, a sheepskin tanner, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

Müller (Schaffhausen-2)*

Paul Müller, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Katharina, and son Martin (age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.

Paul Müller and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 91.

A note on the 1767 census indicates that in 1768, they moved to the colony of Schaffhausen.

Soltner (Katharinenstadt-1)*

Johannes Friedrich Soltner, a baker, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1766 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 100.

Friedrich Soltner and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka027.

The 1767 census records this family as being from Grünberg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Bock (Katharinenstadt)*

Adolph Bock, a shoemaker, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna, age 3; Johann, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

Adolph Bock, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Elisabeth Hell are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 94. They had settled there on 5 March 1767.

Hess (Katharinenstadt)

Johannes Hess, a leatherworker, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 89.

Both the Kuhlberg list and the 1767 Census record this family as being from Grünberg.

Reisig

The Johann Georg Reisig, a day laborer (Tagelöhner), his wife Maria Barbara, and children (Eva, age 16; Johann Jakob, age 11; Georg Bernhard, age 9; Daniel, age 5) arrived in the city of Schleswig, Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) on 20 May 1761. He swore oath to King Friedrich of Denmark on 24 July 1761 and on 8 August 1761 settled in the Danish colony of Königsberge.

The parish register in Hohn (Denmark) records that Johann Georg Reisig died on 1 March 1763.

His widow Barbara remarried on 13 February 1764 to Christian Stapel. [See Stapel Family.]

Pauli / Paulÿ (Norka)

Philipp Jacob Pauli, a school teacher (Schulmeister) living in Wächtersbach, had at least two sons: (1) Philipp Jacob, born about 1728; and (2) Johann Peter, born about 1733. These two sons migrated to the Volga German colony of Norka.

(1) Philipp Jacob Pauli, a stocking weaver (Strumpfweber), married in Büdingen on 9 December 1756 to Maria Elisabeth Burghard, daughter of Johann Jost Burghard.
