Ormersweiler is a village in the former area of Zweibrücken-Bitsch, historically part of the German region of Lothringen. By the time of the Volga German migration to Russia, this area was already located in French territory.
Today, Ormersweiler is known as Ormersviller and is located in the French Départment of Moselle.

Orb is located in the historical area of the Electorate of Mainz (German: Kurmainz). Following a series of land transfers, it became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1914. As early as 1837, there were spa activities in the area, and the village became known as Bad-Orb. Today, it is located in the German State of Hessen.
