Birkheim, Kr. Rhein-Hunsrück, Rheinland-Pfalz

Until 1794, Birkheim was part of the Electorate of Trier.  It then fell under French rule.  Following the Napoleonic Wars, in 1815 it became part of the Kingdom of Prussia.  Following World War II, Birkheim was located in the newly founded state of Rheinland-Pfalz.
