Ach(t)ziger
Gottfried Achtziger, a blacksmith, his wife Christina, and son Johann Christian (age 6) from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 May 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Jacob Janson.
This family has not been located on the 1767 census, but they may have originally settled in Hussenbach [for which a copy of the 1767 census has not been located] as several other families on this ship are recorded in Hussenbach.
Gottfried Achtzig[er] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kolb in Household No. Ko05.
Friedrich Achtziger and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kolb in Household No. 47. His brother Johannes Reinhard and family are recorded there in Household No. 78.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Gottfried Achtziger came from the area of Danzig.
