Adler (Grimm)
Johann Wendel Adler, a farmer & son of Katharina Zeller, his wife Salome, daughter of Anna Margaretha Hager, and son Johann Michael (12-weeks-old) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 9 June 1762.
They were dismissed from the Danish colonies on 7 June 1763 and joined the migration to Russia.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1775 census in Household No. 30.
They are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm065.
Christian Adler from Grimm and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Dietel in Household No. 189 along with a note that they had arrived in Dietel from Grimm in 1818.
The Eichhorns record that Johann Wendel Adler came from the German village of Rhien [?].
