Anthes
Franz Anthes, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Barbara, age 17; Adam, age 15; Elisabeth Barbara, age 12; Anna Margaretha, age 10; Anna Maria, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Sewald on 20 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 26.
The 1798 census records son Adam Anthes in Rothammel (Household No. Rt11).
The 1834 census of Rothammel records that in 1832 Adam Anthes moved from Rothammel to Kamenka.
The 1767 census records that Franz Anthes came from the German village of Flech in the Worms region.
