Bender (Semenovka)
Orphan Martin Bender (age 18), son of the deceased Johannes Bender, is recorded on the 1767 census of Semenovka in Household No. 20 along with the Paul Grau family. They had settled there on 24 July 1767.
Martin Bender from Semenovka and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km004.
The death of Martin Bender in 1831 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kamenka in Household No. 49.
There is a single Martin Bender who arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Johannes under the command of Skipper Stahl. There were other families who settled in Semenovka aboard this ship.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Martin Bender came from the German region of Mainz.
