The surviving members of the family immigrated to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 15 July 1766. The father, Heinrich, died at some point after arriving in Russia, and his widow remarried to Johann Wolf. The combined Wolf/Bolger family is recorded on the 1767 census of Reinhard in Household No. 10.
Another Bolger family also settled in the colony of Reinhard. Balthasar Bolger and his family settled in Reinhard on 15 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11. The 1767 census records that Balthasar Bolger came from the German village of Hornbach in the region of Zweibrücken.
In 1834, Johann Heinrich Bolger moved from Reinhard to Schäfer.
In 1834, Heinrich Gottfried Bolger moved from Reinhard to Schwed.
