Philipp Boni, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Katharina, and sons (Michael, age 14; Thomas, age ¾) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rohleder in Household No. 30. They had settled there on 14 June 1766.

The 1798 census of Rohleder (Rl11) records that widower Philipp Boni is working in Semenovka and that his son Joachim is working in Louis.

The 1767 census records that Philipp Boni came from the German region of Darmstadt.
