Borgens
Hermann Heinrich Borgens, a farmer, his wife Sophia, and children (Rudolph, age 14; Daniel, age 12; Dorothea, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Die Frau Dietrika under the command of Skipper Joachim Friedrich Luhn.
Hermann Heinrich Borgens, his new wife Katharina [believed to be the widow of Georg Bartholomae], and children (Heinrich, age 14; Daniel, age 12; Georg [Bartholomae], age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Walter in Household No. 73. They had settled there on 25 August 1767.
In 1798, Johann Georg Borgens moved from Walter to Frank.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Hermann Heinrich Borgens came from the German region of Hildesheim. The 1767 census records that Hermann Heinrich Borgens came from the German village of Paulsin in the region of Plekenberg.
