Killian Bretthauer, son of Johannes Bretthauer, was baptized 22 April 1732 in Sterbfritz.

Killian married in Sterbfritz on 17 May 1757 to Anna Barbara Johann, daughter of Adam Johann.

After they arrived in Russia, they settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 3.  They are recorded on the 1798 Census in Walter in Household No. Wt057.
