Brick
Johann Brick, a farmer, his family, and his brother-in-law Johann Ludwig Kauz arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that they came from the German region of Wetzlar while the 1767 census records that they came from the German village of Königsberg in the Darmstadt region.
