Johann Georg Diener, a farmer, his wife Maria Katharina, and sons (Johann Nikolaus, age 7½; Johann [Martin], age 6; Philipp Konrad, age 2¾) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard a ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Johann Georg Diener is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann Georg Diener (age 34), a farmer, his wife Maria Katharina (age 33), and son Philipp Konrad (age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 139. They had arrived in Warenburg on 12 May 1767.
In 1787, Martin Diener moved from Reinwald to Reinhard. Martin Diener is recorded on the 1798 census of Reinhard in Household No. Rh14 with a note that he came from Reinwald.
Philipp Konrad Diener and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr049.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Georg Diener came from the German region of Runkel.
