Diener
Johann Georg Diener, a farmer, his wife Maria Katharina, and sons (Johann Nikolaus, age 7½; Johann [Martin], age 6; Philipp Konrad, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 139.
In 1787, Martin Diener moved from Reinwald to Reinhard. Martin Diener is recorded on the 1798 census of Reinhard in Household No. Rh14 with a note that he came from Reinwald.
Philipp Konrad Diener and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr049.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Georg Diener came from the German region of Runkel.
