Dreher (Ober-Monjou)
Johann Dreher, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Johann, age 17; Katharina, age 15; Maria, age 11; Georg, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Joh. Dreher, his wife Anna Catharina, children (Johannes, age 18; Anna Cathar. age 15; Maria, age 11; Joh. Georg, age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
His widow and the surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 23 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49 along with Paul Weidmann.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Dreher family came from the German region of Mainz.
