Eckardt (Laub)
Three Eckardt children (Valentin, age 17; Karl, age 16; and Anna Magdalena, age 12) arrived with their mother and stepfather, Nikolaus Sasse, from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Der Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 15 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46.
In 1788, Karl Eckardt and his family moved from Laub to Lauwe.
