Bernhard Knoche, a miller, his wife Maria, son David (age 1), and [step-]children (Dorothea [Ehrentraudt], age 19; Leopold [Ehrentraudt], age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair. Leopold Ehrentraudt (age 14) is recorded on the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 68 along with his sister Dorothea (age 20) and her husband Adam Rosenberg. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.
Dorothea is recorded on the 1798 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. Nm49 while Leopold is recorded on the 1798 census of Fischer in Household No. Fs19.
The death of Leonhard [sic] Ehrentraudt in 1834 is recorded on the 1834 census of Fischer in Household No. 13.
Some translations erroneously record this surname as Grontraudt.
