Discussion & Documentation

Johann Georg Feidel [sic], a farmer, his wife Christina, and daughters (Elisabeth, age 8; Maria Sophia, age 10-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dreispitz in Household No. 4. They settled in Dreispitz on 16 September 1766.

Johann Georg Feil and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dreispitz in Household No. Dr38. A note on the 1798 census of Dreispitz records that Johann Georg Feil is working in Holstein.

All of the Feil families in Dreispitz are believed to be descendants of Johann Georg Feil.

In 1796, Johann Jakob Feil moved from Dreispitz to Grimm.

The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Feidel came from the German village of Ebersbach in the Württemberg region.
