Johann Caspar Henneberger, son of Johannes (1692 - 20 March 1762) & Margaretha (1675 - 10 February 1739) Henneberger, was born in 1713 in Thuringia. He married in Zeitlofs on 18 February 1738 to Elisabeth Margareth Märtin, daughter of Martin Märtin. She had been born in 1717 in Dittlofsroda. They have 6 known children, each born in Weißenbach: (1) Dorothea, born 29 November 1738; (2) Johann Adam, born in 1739; (3) Catharina, born in 1744; (4) Eva Elisabeth, born 8 July 1745; (5) Johann Caspar, born 11 December 1748; and (6) Philippus, born 12 January 1752.

Johann Caspar Henneberg(er) and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.

The parents (Johann Caspar & Elisabeth Margaretha died during the trip between Oranienbaum and Saratov. The surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Karaman on 22 June 1767.

Kaspar Henneberg and his family are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. 32. Adam Henneberg and his wife are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. 33.

In 1797, Adam Henneberg moved from Stahl am Karaman to Fischer.

Philipp Henneberg from Schwed is recorded on the 1798 census of Rosenheim in Household No. Rm37.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that this Henneberg(er) family came from the German region of Dienheim.

Records in Russian and succeeding generations of this family use the surname of Henneberg rather than Henneberger.
