Johannes Hoffmann, son of Johannes Hoffmann, was born on 18 September 1744 in Heckendalheim.

Johannes Hoffmann (junior) and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 14 June 1766. Johannes, his wife Barbara, and their sons (Johannes, age 4; Christian, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rohleder in Household No. 13.

His father, Johannes (senior) and his family, also migrated to Russia the following year and settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 28 August 1767. Johannes, his wife Magdalena, and his daughter Elisabeth (age 15) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rohleder in Household No. 47.

In 1788, Christian Hoffmann and his family moved from Louis to Rohleder.

Christian Hoffmann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Rohleder in Household No. Rl25.

The widow and children of Peter Hoffmann, son of Christian Hoffmann, relocated to the daughter colony of Liebental in 1859.

Johannes Hoffmann, Christian's brother, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Rohleder in Household No. Rl08.

Melchior Hoffmann, son of Johannes Hoffmann, and his family relocated to the daughter colony of Liebental in 1860.

In 1795, Johann Peter Hoffmann moved from Rohleder to Graf.

Peter Hoffmann from Rohleder and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Graf in Household No. Gf06.

Michael Hoffmann, presumed son of Peter Hoffmann, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Graf in Household No. 65.

The 1767 census records that this Hoffmann family came from the German region of Blieskastel.
