Johann Georg Honecker, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 8 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 47.
His widow and children from his first wife are recorded on the 1798 census in the colony of Semenovka (Se27).
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Georg Honecker came from the German region of Mainz while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Frieburg.
