Ingenthron

Matthias Ingenthron, a baker, his wife Anna Maria (who is not the mother of his sons), and his sons ([a] Johann Nikolaus, age 19, and [b] Balthasar, age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.

Matthias died after arrival in Russia, and Anna Maria remarried to a man named Weigand.  She and stepson Balthasar Ingenthron settled in the Volga German colony of Rothammel on 21 August 1767.

[a] Nikolaus Ingenthron settled in the Volga German colony of Sewald on 20 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5 living with the Johannes Dithion family.

Nikolaus Ingenthron and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Sewald in Household No. Sd06.

Nikolaus Ingethron and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Sewald in Household No. 6.

[b] Balthasar Ingenthron is recorded on the 1767 census of Rothammel in Household No. 10 with a note that he relocated in 1768 to the neighboring colony of Sewald.

The widow and children of Balthasar Ingelhofer [sic] are recorded on the 1798 census of Schuck in Household No. Su22.

Jakob Ingethron, son of Balthasar Ingethron, from Schuck is recorded on the 1811 census of Sewald in Household No. 5 along with a note that he arrived in Sewald from Schuck in 1803.

Jakob Ingenthron is recorded on the 1834 census of Sewald along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Kamenka in 1822.

The 1767 census records that the Ingenthrons came from the German village of Dirmstein in the region of Worms.
