Kleiber (Grimm)
Johann Jakob Kleiber, a tailor (Schneider), married Katharina Eberhardt.
They immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in the city of Schleswig on 4 July 1761. They are last recorded in the Danish colonies on 17 May 1763.
They joined the migration to Russia. They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm where they are recorded on the 1775 census in Household No. 26.
In 1788, widow Katharina Kleiber and her children moved from Grimm to Dinkel.
Gottfried Kleiber from Grimm and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dinkel in Household No. Dn28.
The death of Gottfried Kleiber in 1824 is recorded on the 1834 census of Dinkel in Household No. 53.
The Eichhorns record that Johann Jakob Kleiber came from the Alsace region [of France].
