In 1790, Michael Leichleiter and his family moved from Herzog to Louis.

Michael Lechleiter, his son Joseph (age 31), daughter-in-law (Eva née Mermis, age 28), and grandchildren (Anna Maria, age 9; Thomas, age 7; Michael, age 3-months) are recorded on the 1798 census of Louis in Household No. Ls12.

The death of Michael Lechleiter on 11 October 1801 is recorded in the parish register of Louis.
