Loch (Orlovskaya)
Dietrich Loch, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Joh. Dietrich Loch, his wife Anna Cath., and children (Valentin, age 13; Dorothea, age 4) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Orlovskaya on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.
In 1790, Johannes Loch moved from Orlovskaya to Biberstein.
The 1767 census records that Dietrich Loch came from the German village of Elbor in the region of Darmstadt.
