Andreas Löffler, a tailor (Schneider) from Hillmershausen [sic] [Helmarshausen?], & Anna Margar. Müller from Hillmershausen were married on 17 May 1766 in Pastor Möllraht's house in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.
Andreas Löffler and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Kronverk under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Ilyin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 42.

Andreas Lefler and his family (sons: Johannes Heinrich, age 29; Johannes, age 23; Andreas, age 21; Christian Ernst, age 18; Johann Peter, age 16) are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm115 along with a note that his son Christian Ernst Lefler is working in the colony of Göbel.
Johannes Lefler and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 193.
Andreas Lefler and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 107.
Ernst Lefler and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 97.
Peter Lefler and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Rosenheim in Household No. 87.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that he was a tailor while the 1767 census records that he was a craftsman (Handwerker).
Both documents record that Andreas Löffler came from the German region of Darmstadt.
