Joseph Niedermeier, a hunter (Jäger), and his wife Margaretha arrived from Reval at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Lopamink under the command of Lieutenant Kryukov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Herzog on 1 September 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 2 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Schäfer in 1768.
In 1786, Joseph Niedermeier and his family moved from Schäfer to Graf.
The 1834 census of Graf records in Household No. 34 that Konrad Niedermeier moved from Graf to Zug in 1825.

Peter Niedermeier and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Köhler in Household No. 242 along with a note that they relocated to the daughter colony of Marienfeld in 1852.
