Ludwig Rausch, a farmer, and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 15 April 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4.

In 1788, Georg Rausch moved from Schwab to Dobrinka.

The 1767 census records that Ludwig Rausch came from the Austrian village of Tag [?].
