Johann Valentin Reich, son of Johannes Reich from Niederwald & Johanna Christina Elisabeth Krüger, was born 3 September 1746 in Nieder-Ohmen and baptized there on 4 September 1746.

Valentin Reich from Nieder Ohm & Eliesabetha Trimper from Rauschenberg were married 14 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Valentin Reich, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Maria, and his mother Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.

Valentin Reich, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Elisabeth, and mother Elisabeth (age 58) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 11.

They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 93.

Valentin Reich and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm100.

[Johann] Dietrich Reich, son of Valentin Reich, from Grimm is recorded on the 1811 census of Dietel in Household No. 42.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Valentin Reich came from the German region of Laubach while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Darmstadt.
