There is a Joseph Peter Raaskopff, son of Mattias & Angela Raaskopff, who was baptized on 22 July 1715 in Wittlich, northeast of Trier, in what is today Rheinland-Pfalz.
Peter Rosskopf, a miller (Müller), his wife Katharina, and sons (Joseph, age 20; Leopold, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Volmer in Household No. 41. They had arrived in Volmer on 18 July 1766.
In 1792, Joseph Rosskopf and his family moved from Volmer to Preuss.
Anna Barbara Ingethron née Anthes, widow of Joseph Rosskopf from Volmer, is recorded on the 1798 census of Sewald in Household No. Sd06 along with her daughters (Maria Christina Rosskopf, age 18; Maria Eva Rosskopf, age 16; Maria Katharina Rosskopf, age 13; Katharina Barbara Rosskopf, age 8). A note records that two of the daughters (Maria Christina & Maria Katharina) are working in the colony of Preuss.
The two daughters who are working in Preuss are also recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps78 (Christina Rosskopf, age 18; Maria Katharina Rosskopf, age 13) along with their sister Anna Maria Rosskopf (age 24), the wife of Heinrich Bickart [See Bickart Family.]

Burghard Rosskopf, son of Leopold Rosskopf, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Volmer in Household No. 11 along with a note that they moved from Volmer to Marienfeld in 1852.
