Schönthaler
Ludwig Schönthaler, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Maria, age 5; Georg, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Ludw. Schönthaler, his wife Catharina, and sons (Georg, age 3; Johannes, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both sons died en route.
In 1787, Heinrich Schönthaler moved from Luzern to Schönchen.
Heinrich Schönthaler is recorded on the 1798 census of Schönchen in Household No. Sn15.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Ludwig Schönthaler came from the German region of Württemberg.
