Christian Seifert, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Sophia, age 4; Johann  Friedrich, age 1) settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 29 June 1764. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 12.

In 1788, Philipp Seifert moved from Dobrinka to Schwab.

The 1767 census records that Christian Seifert came from the village of Horbert in the region of Bistum Brüssel.
