Sieben
There are two Sieben families that eventually settled in the colony of Schuck. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.
(1) Hieronymus Sieben, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Schuck on 18 July 1766. He and his family are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20.
In 1794, Balthasar Sieben moved from Schuck to Pfeifer.
The death of Hieronimus Sieben, son of Georg Sieben, in 1817 is recorded on the 1834 census of Degott in Household No. 1.
The 1767 census records that Hieronymus Sieben came from the German region of Mainz.
(2) Orphan Peter Sieben (age 17) is recorded on the 1767 census of Volmer in Household No. 31 along with the Michael Brost family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Sieben and Brost families. They had settled in Volmer on 18 July 1767.
The 1798 census of Schuck records that Peter Sieben from Volmer and several members of his family are living in Dehler.
