Ludwig Stettinger, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth Margaretha, and children (Valentin, age 20; Maria Elisabeth, age 17; Maria Barbara, age 13; Jakob, age 11; Jakob Ludwig, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Bauer in Household No. 54. They had arrived in Bauer on 8 August 1767.

Son Ludwig Stettinger and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Bauer in Household No. Br36.

The 1767 census records that Ludwig Stettinger came from the German village of Stahlberg in the region of Leiningen.
