History

In 1859, Neu-Bauer was founded by colonists resettling from Bauer, Hussenbach, and Franzosen.

During the anti-German renaming period of World War I, Neu-Bauer became known by its Russian name of Solyanka.

Today, nothing remains of the former Volga German colony of Neu-Bauer.

Church

The original settlers of Neu-Bauer were Lutheran. In later years, there were also Baptists in the colony.
