Christoph Stier and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Jost in Household No. Jo33.

Johann Gottlieb Stier, son of Christoph Stier, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Jost in Household No. 8. Another son, Johann Rudolph, and his family are recorded there in Household No. 9.

The 1767 census records that Johann Christoph Stier came from the German region of Brandenburg.
