Streich (Schwab)
Johann Streck [sic], a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Concordia under the command of Skipper Jakob Bauert.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Schwab on 8 July 1767. Johann Streck [sic], a farmer, and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 23.
Johann Jost Streich, son of the deceased Johannes Streich, is recorded on the 1798 census of Schwab in Household No. Sb26.
Johann Jost Streich and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Schwab in Household No. 23.
The death of Johann Jost Streich in 1838 is recorded on the 1850 census of Schwab in Household No. 35.
Johann Ludwig & Johann Jost Streich, sons of Johann Jost Streich, from Schwab and their families are recorded on the 1857 census of Friedenberg.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Streck came from the German region of Friedeburg. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Rodenbach.
