Gottfried Tag (age 17) is recorded on the 1767 census of Jost in Household No. 74 along with his stepfather Rudolph Krieger. They had settled there on 5 July 1767.

Gottfried Tag and his family are recored on the 1798 census of Jost in Household No. Jo33.

The death of Gottfried Tag in 1829 is recorded on the 1834 census of Jost in Household No. 51.

The 1767 census does not record from where Gottfried Tag came.
