Two Thomä families arrived in the Volga German colony of Keller on 22 May 1767. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs additional research.
(1) Georg Thomä, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Лапоминк (Lapomink - a Russian river) under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Krykov.
Joseph Dosak, a farmer, his wife Anna, and son Johann (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard the 2-masted merchant ship named Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.
Anna Maria Degass, her unnamed husband, and their son, Johannes, settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767. The unnamed husband died on 14 November 1767. The widowed Anna Maria and her son are recorded on the 1767 census of Keller in Household No. 67.
Widow Anna Block, whose husband had been a farmer, and her son Johann [Martin] (age 25) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
Widow Cunigunda Block and her son Johann Martin (age 25) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann Block, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
Johann Block, a farmer, and his wife, Elisabeth, settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 58.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Block came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census records that they came from the German village of Ginseldorf in Hessen-Darmstadt.
Johann Just Schmidt, a farmer, and his wife, Elisabeth Margaretha, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 125.

In the wake of the Reformation, Ginseldorf became a Protestant village, but in 1595 it became Roman Catholic again. From that point until 1801, it was part of thein the wake of the introduction of the Reformation, it was in 1595 again Catholic. After that it belonged to the Amöneburg (Kurmainz). As part of the Peace of Lunéville in 1801, it was succeeded to Hessen, but remained Catholic.
Peter Schmidt, a farmer, and his wife, Anna Christina, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 54.
Peter Schmidt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps49.
The death of Peter Schmidt (age 83) of Preuss is recorded in January 1807 [exact date illegible] in the parish register of Preuss.
