Moninger

Johann Georg Moninger was baptized in Gemmingen (west of Heilbronn) on 24 April 1732. He married Elisabeth Rödel who had been born on 12 December 1727 in Hassmersheim.      

Georg Moninger, his wife Maria Elisabetha, and children (Georg Adam, age 5; Albertina Margaretha, age 3; Philippina, age 1) migrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 10 June 1760. They are last recorded among the Danish colonies on 26 April 1763. They joined the migration to Russia.

Morasch

There are three Morasch families that immigrated together to Russia in 1766. They arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum aboard the Russian galliot Citadel on 11 August 1766. Their relationship to each other needs additional research.

Morkel (Huck)

Johann Conrad Morckel, son of Hans Georg & Anna Maria Morkel, was born 2 January 1727 in Spielberg, east-south-east of Büdingen in Hessen.  He was married there on 2 April 1750 to Anna Katharina Werth, daughter of Johann Heinrich Werth.

They had a number of children baptized in Spielberg: (1) Anna Kunigunda, baptized 2 May 1751; (2) Anna Maria, baptized 11 June 1752; (3) Johann Heinrich, baptized 27 December 1753; (4) Anna Catharina, baptized 6 March 1757; (5) Johann Peter, baptized 20 August 1758; and (6) Anna Maria, baptized 18 September 1763.

Müller (Kukkus)*

Philipp Müller, son of Johann Konrad Müller & Anna Birgitta Hedrich, was baptized on 21 December 1727 in Niedergirmes, north of Wetzlar. He married there on 10 January 1755 to Anna Maria Walbracht, daughter of Johann Peter Walbracht & Anna Catharina Hopf of Naunheim. They have at least the following children, each born/baptized in Niedergirmes: (1) Katharina, born 18 September 1755; (2) Katharina Wilhelmina, born 5 September 1756; (3) Annlißbett, born 4 January 1762; and (4) Johann Philipp, born 19 July 1765.

Lang(h)olf

Johann Georg Langholff married Maria Magdalena Keyser, daughter of Lorentz Keyser, on 16 February 1740 in the Evangelical Church of Dörrenbach, 32 kilometers west of Karlsruhe. They had seven known children, each baptized in the same church: (1) Johannes (Christoph), on 12 December 1740; (2) Johann Michael, on 18 July 1743; (3) Johann Georg, on 17 July 1746; (4) Johann Jacob on 13 April 1749; (5) Maria Elisabetha on 1 November 1751; (6) Maria Ursula on 17 July 1754; and (7) Maria Margaretha, on 6 May 1757.

Näb / Naeb (Kraft)

Johann Wilhelm Neeb was born in Kestrich bei Romrod on 27 November 1744 and baptized there on 1 December 1744. He was the son of Johannes & Anna Catharina Neeb who had been married there on 29 July 1741.

Johann Wilhelm Neeb [sic] from Kestrich near Romrod & Anna Catharina Wentzel, daughter of Adam Wentzel from Ober Breitenbach, married on 13 May 1766 in Büdingen where they gathered before departure to Russia.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 12.

Münster

Johann Konrad Münster was born on 5 May 1722 in Langwaden, southwest of Darmstadt. He married on 15 August 1747 in Schwanheim to Anna Barbara Engelhardt. She had been born on 10 April 1735 in Bensheim.

They immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1760.  They left the Danish colonies on 7 January 1765 and joined the migration to Russia.

Lebsack / Löbsack / Lipsack

Johannes Heinrich Löbsack, son of Conrad Löbsack & Catharina Becker) was born 24 March 1716 in Steinheim and baptized 27 March 1716 in the Lutheran church of Rodheim. He married on 25 November 1740 in Steinheim to Elisabetha Katharina Bipp. She had been born 11 January 1717 in Steinheim and baptized 14 January 1717 in Rodheim.

Lohrengel (Balzer)

Johann Jost Lohrengel, son of Johann Peter & Anna Margaretha Lohrengel, was baptized on 22 June 1728 in Lorbach. He married on 2 February 1758 in Vonhausen to Maria Magdalena Elsazer, daughter of Conrad & Eva Elsazer. She had been baptized 26 September 1739 in Lorbach.

Just Lohrengel, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and son Johann Peter (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 74. They had arrived in Balzer on 18 June 1767.

Widower Just Lohrengel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz021.

Lonsinger

Matthias Wilhelm Lonsinger, son of Jonathan & Anna Maria Lonsinger, was baptized on 25 September 1720 in the Pfullingen Lutheran Church.

He married Anna Barbara, and they had three children, each baptized in the Feldrennach Lutheran Church: (1) Anna Barbara, born 12 February 1748; baptized 13 February 1748; (2) Maria Barbara, born & baptized 12 November 1749; and (3) Matthias Wilhelm, born 8 September 1753; baptized 9 September 1753.
