Licht

Wilhelm Ferdinand Leopold Lich and Anna Maria Lorey were married in Leisenwald (part of the Spielberg parish near Wächtersbach) on 2 April 1750. They had five children whose baptisms in Leisenwald are recorded in the parish register of Spielberg: (1) Johann Adam, baptized 8 November 1750; (2) Elisabeth, baptized 25 June 1752; (3) Susanna, baptized 28 July 1754; (4) Johann Georg, baptized 3 October 1756; and (5) Johannes, baptized 29 July 1761.

Linenberg(er)

Johann Georg Linnenberg and Anna Margaretha Schabbach (additional spellings on various records Schabach and Schabag) were married 21 August 1746 in St. Vitus Catholic Church in Willebadessen, today in the German state of Nordrhein-Westphalia, northwest of Kassel. Both Johann Georg and Anna Margaretha had been confirmed in this same church.

Lenz (Walter)

Johann Tobias Lenz, son of Johannes Lenz, married in Eckartsborn on 7 December 1747 to Adelgunda Beckel, daughter of Johannes Beckel.

The Schwickartshausen parish register records the baptisms of four of their children, each born in Eckartsborn: (1) Johannes, born 26 March 1749, baptized 28 March 1749; (2) Johann Jacob, born 6 March 1751, baptized 9 March 1751; (3) Conrad, born 26 February 1756, baptized 28 February 1756; and (4) Elisabetha Margaretha, born 4 February 1761, baptized 6 February 1761.

Lichtenberg(er)

Johann Christoph Lichtenberg, son of the late Johann Adam Lichtenberg who was the deputy director of the district of Jägersburg in Hessen-Darmstadt & Maria Elisabetha Schweickhard, and a hunter (Jäger) in the service of General von Pretlack, was born 10 February 1731 in Jägersburg.

Lingelbach*

Johann Lingelbach, son of Heinrich Lingelbach, was born 29 June 1747 in Grünberg, just east of Giessen. His godfather was Johannes Lingelbach.

Johannes Lingelbach, a carpenter, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Daniel Geier.

Johann Lingelbach and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Litzenberger

Johann Sebastian Litzenberger, son of Johann Adam Lützenberger & Anna Margaretha Spiss, was baptized on 17 December 1713 in Sankt Julian, near Eisenbach. He married there on 6 September 1740 to Anna Elisabetha Wildberger, daughter of Johann Peter Wildberger & Anna Margaretha Stuber.

Lebsack / Löbsack / Lipsack

Johannes Heinrich Löbsack, son of Conrad Löbsack & Catharina Becker) was born 24 March 1716 in Steinheim and baptized 27 March 1716 in the Lutheran church of Rodheim. He married on 25 November 1740 in Steinheim to Elisabetha Katharina Bipp. She had been born 11 January 1717 in Steinheim and baptized 14 January 1717 in Rodheim.

Lohrengel (Balzer)

Johann Jost Lohrengel, son of Johann Peter & Anna Margaretha Lohrengel, was baptized on 22 June 1728 in Lorbach. He married on 2 February 1758 in Vonhausen to Maria Magdalena Elsazer, daughter of Conrad & Eva Elsazer. She had been baptized 26 September 1739 in Lorbach.

Just Lohrengel, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and son Johann Peter (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 74. They had arrived in Balzer on 18 June 1767.

Widower Just Lohrengel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz021.

Lonsinger

Matthias Wilhelm Lonsinger, son of Jonathan & Anna Maria Lonsinger, was baptized on 25 September 1720 in the Pfullingen Lutheran Church.

He married Anna Barbara, and they had three children, each baptized in the Feldrennach Lutheran Church: (1) Anna Barbara, born 12 February 1748; baptized 13 February 1748; (2) Maria Barbara, born & baptized 12 November 1749; and (3) Matthias Wilhelm, born 8 September 1753; baptized 9 September 1753.
