Scharf (Seelmann)

Johann[es] Scharf was born in approximately 1790, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Seelmann.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Seelmann in Household No. 130 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Preuss. He is recorded on the 1834 census of Preuss in Household No. 116.

His death in 1847 is recorded on the 1850 census of Preuss in Household No. 139.

Knipper (Boisroux)

Christoph Knipper was born in approximately 1789, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Boisroux in Household No. 125 along with a note that he had died there in 1826.

König (Reinhard-2)

Johann König was born in approximately 1786, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Reinhard in Household No. 61 along with a note that he had died in 1820.

Geier (Luzern)

Adam Geier was born in approximately 1782, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Luzern.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Luzern in Households No. 20 & 60.

He is recorded on the 1857 census of Luzern in Household No. 90.

Heiser (Katharinenstadt)

Johann Heiser was born in approximately 1788, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 296 along with a note that he had been "adopted into the household."

Brecht (Yagodnaya Polyana)

Johann Christian Brecht was born in approximately 1791, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 154. He is not recorded on the 1857 census of Yagodnaya Polyana, so must have died before 1850.

Werwies

Konstantin Werwies was born in approximately 1791, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Rohleder in Household No. 77. In 1817, he relocated to the colony of Katharinenstadt.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 211.

Debute

Jean Debute was born in approximately 1791, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder.

In 1817, he relocated to the colony of Wittmann.

Johann Debute from Rohleder and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Wittmann in Household No. 104.

Demis

Joseph Demis was born in approximately 1785, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental.

Joseph Dellos [sic] married in Louis on 16 November 1815 to Anna Katharina Orth, widow of Peter Bauer.

In 1828, he relocated to the colony of Louis.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Mariental in Household No. 222.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 70.

Joseph (Louis)

Louis Jean Joseph was born in approximately 1788, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Louis.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 121. In 1827, he relocated to the colony of Katharinenstadt.

He has not been located on the 1834 or subsequent censuses of Katharinenstadt.
