His sons and their families are recorded on the 1834 census of Preuss in Household No. 32.

Staudt*

Widow Dorothea Staudt is recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps04.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Schön (Preuss)

There are two Schön families recorded in Preuss. They are presumed to be father and son, but further research is necessary to confirm this relationship.

(1) Johannes Schön (age 47) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps32.

(2) Johannes Schön (age 27) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps33.

Safenreiter

Johannes Safenreiter and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps75.

The death of Johannes Safenreiter in 1820 is recorded on the 1834 census of Preuss in Household No. 86.

Peter Safenreiter, son of Mattias Safenreiter, is recorded on the 1850 census of Preuss in Household No. 25 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Rothammel.

Peter Safenreiter and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Preuss in Household No. 78.

Ramburger

Johann [Nikolaus] Ramburger, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Elisabeth Margaretha, age 21; Elisabeth, age 16; Christina, age 13; Martin, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. Widow Anna Maria Ramburger and her children (Christina, age 14; Martin, age 8) are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 108 along with a note that husband Nikolaus had died there on 31 October 1767.

Wolf (Preuss-2)*

Jakob Wolf, a farmer, his wife Wilhelmina, and adopted son Philipp (age 8) [surname not recorded] are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 40. They had settled there on 12 May 1767.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Wolf came from the German village of Ateleng [?] in the Kurtrier region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Wolf family among the Volga German colonies.

Wolf (Preuss-1)

Balthasar Wolf (age 19) and his brother Anton (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 11 along with their stepfather Ludwig Uhlmann. They had setted in Preuss on 12 May 1767.

Anton Wolf and his family are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps17.

The 1767 census does not record from where the Wolf brothers came.

Diepner

Johannes Diepner, a single farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 12 May 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 139.

Johann[es] Diepner and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps74.

Johann[es] Diepner and his son Georg Philipp are recorded on the 1811 census of Preuss in Household No. 74 along with a note that Georg Philipp relocated to the colony of Hölzel in 1803.

Sturm (Herzog)

Jakob Sturm was born in approximately 1791, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Herzog.

He is recorded on the 1834 census of Herzog in Household No. 333 along with a note that he relocated to Household No. 33 where he had died in 1834.

Modern generations of this family use the surname of Storm.
