Blum (Unknown-1)*

Christoph Blum, a wheelmaker (Radmacher), his wife Eleonora, and son Heinrich (age 3) are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits (Household No. 31) appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Christoph Blum came from the German village of Alsfeld.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Blum family among the Volga German colonies.

Gilbrig*

Gottfried Gilbrig and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.

Gottfried Gilbrig and his wife Maria are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Gottfried Gilbrig, a linen weber (Leineweber), and his wife Maria are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits (Household No. 28) appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

Bilgel*

Widow Anna Bilgel, her children (Sebastian, [age not recorded]; Elisabeth, age 9; Anna Maria, age 5), and her mother-in-law Anna [surname not recorded] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Researcher Andreas Raith believes that this family settled in the colony of Zürich.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anna Bilgel came from the German region of Isenburg.

Baumgarten (Zürich)*

Peter Baumgarten, a single turner, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Peter Baumgarten is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Researcher Andreas Raith believes that this Peter Baumgarten settled in the colony of Zürich.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Baumgarten came from the German region of Erfurt.

Ernfried Baumgart[en] and his wife Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.

Erenfried Baumgarten and his wife Dorothea are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Ernfried Baumgarten, a farmer, and his wife Anna are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Ernfried Baumgarten came from the German village of Onschewald.

Georg Balthasar Heldt, his wife Katharina, and daughter Maria (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.

George [sic] Balthasar Heldt, his wife Catharina, and daughters (Maria, age 2¼; Anna Elisabeth, newborn) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
