Lindacher*

Christian Lindacher, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna [Katharina] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Schulz on 15 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.

Weber (Schulz-2)

Kaspar Weber, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and children (Anna, age 23; Julianna, age 20; Anna Maria, age 11; Anna Elisabeth, age 7; Johann Heinrich, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Mattias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.

Steinert

There are three Steinert families that immigrated to the Volga German colonies. The families came from the neighboring villages of Sulzfeld and Ochsenburg in Germany, immigrated together to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), and settled in the neighboring Volga German colonies of Galka and Shcherbakovka in Russia. The last two are brothers, and they are presumed to be related to the first one (Johannes), although the exact relationship among the families is to be determined.

Kundal*

Louisa Kundal (age 10) and her sister Charlotta (age 8) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 164. They are recorded there as the stepdaughters of Christoph Fiebig.

Louisa Kundal is recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm074 as the wife of Ernst Jäger.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Fritz (Grimm)

Johann Gottfried Fritz (age 11½) and his siblings (Johann Jakob, age 8; Maria Katharina, age 5½; Henrietta, age 3) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 20 along with their stepfather Christian Pikus. Their deceased father is identified as Johannes Fritz on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm057.

Eberhard(t) (Grimm-2)*

Johannes Eberhard (age 21) is recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 148. He is recorded there as the stepson of Hermann Schmidt (age 38).

There are no known surviving male lines of this Eberhard family among the Volga German colonies.

Karg (Dreispitz)

Friedrich Karg (born about 1787) and his brothers (Wilhelm, born about 1796; Konrad, born about 1798) are recorded on the 1834 of Dreispitz in Household No. 104 along with a note that Friedrich had relocated to the colony of Grimm and that Konrad had relocated to the colony of Stahl am Tarlyk.

Friedrich Karg is recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 329, having arrived there in 1826.

Konrad Karg is recorded on the 1834 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 113.

Gorde

Based upon his age as recorded on the 1798 census, Christian would have been approximately 41 years old in 1767. He has not been located on the 1767 census.

In 1783, Johann Christian Gorde and his family moved from Kind to Reinwald.
