Ernst August Draut (sic) and his wife Catharina were married on 26 August 1762 in Rothenbergen. Their son Johann Wilhelm was born on 7 May 1763, and baptized on 12 May 1763, and their daughter Anna Elisabeth was born 22 November and baptized on 24 November 1765.
The Traut family immigrated to Russia, arriving from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Ernst Traut, his wife Katharina, and children (Johann Wilhelm, age 14; Anna Margaretha, age 6½; Elisabeth, age 5½; Katharina, age 4; Johann Heinrich, age 3) are recorded onthe 1775 census of Norka in Household No 134.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 66.
