Stür(t)z (Kutter-2)

Heinrich Jakob Stürz and his family immigrated to Russia.  The only surviving member of this family appears to be Friedrich who settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter where he is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 77 at age 15, living with the Georg Lorenz family. There is no relationship between the Lorenz and Stürz families recorded on the 1767 census.

Johann Friedrich Stürtz (age 45) and his family (sons: [a] Johann Christian, age 24; [b] Johann Georg Friedrich, age 10; [c] Heinrich Wilhelm, age 4) are recorded on the 1798 census of Galka in Household No. Gk19.

The death of [Johann] Friedrich Stürtz in 1825 is recorded on the 1834 census of Galka in Household No. 21.

[a] The death of Johann Christian Stürtz, son of Johann Friedrich Stürtz, is recorded in 1833 on the 1834 census of Galka in Household No. 21.

[b] The death of Friedrich Stürtz, son of Johann Friedrich Stürtz, is recorded in 1830 on the 1834 census of Galka in Household No. 164.

Georg Stürtz, son of Friedrich Stürtz, and his siblings (Heinrich, Jakob, David, Maria, & Adam) are recorded on the 1850 census of Galka in Household No. 198.

Johann Georg Stürtz and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Galka in Household No. 200 along with a note that his brothers Johann Heinrich, Johann David, and Georg Adam had moved to the daughter colony of Erlenbach in 1852 and that his brother Johann Jakob had moved to the daughter colony of Oberdorf.

Johann Jakob Stürtz from Galka and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Household No. 45.
