Heinrich Werth, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Neptunus (Neptune) under the command of Skipper Johann Graap.
Heinrich Werth is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.
The 1798 census records Heinrich Werth in the neighboring colony of Merkel in Household No. Mr22.
Philipp Jakob Werth, son of Heinrich Werth, and his son Johann Melchior are recorded on the 1834 census of Merkel in Household No. 42 along with a note that they moved to Kratzke in 1826.
Philipp Wolf [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kratzke in Household No. 69.
Philipp Werth and his family are recorded on the 1850 census of Kratzke in Household No. 73 along with a note that Philipp Werth died there in 1844 and that his son Johann Melchior Werth returned to Merkel in 1845.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Werth came from the German region of Pflaz.
