Because of the many matching points, researcher Eugen Lorenz believes that this Loritz family is the Lorenz family that moved to Denmark and then to the Volga German colony of Galka.
Ulrich Lorenz (age 34), a farmer, and his wife Ursula Margaretha (age 24) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 22 May 1762. They swore allegiance to the King of Denmark on 4 June 1762. They are last recorded among the Danish colonies on 22 April 1765.
Christian Ulrich Lorenz (age 39), a farmer, his wife Maria Margaretha (age 28), and sons (David, age 4; Johann Wilhelm, age ¼) are recorded on the 1767 census of Galka in Household No. 43. They had arrived in Galka on 12 April 1766.
In 1790, Wilhelm Lorenz moved from Galka to Schwab.

Johann Georg Lorenz from Schwab and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Friedenberg.
The 1767 census records in Russian that Christian Ulrich Lorenz came from "Виттенберг, Кохцейт" (Wittenberg, Kochzeit). This is believed to be Württemberg, Gochsheim, referring to the German village of Gochsheim in the region of Württemberg.
