The parish register of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Salmünster records the following children born in Soden to Andreas & Magdalena Pellotier: (1) Johann Heinrich, born 4 April 1753; and (2) Johannes, born 29 April 1758. [Andreas Pellotier is recorded as a mercenary French soldier (Latin: "miles Gallicus" and "Galli vagabundi") in the Salmünster parish register.]
Andreas Belodie [sic], a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and sons (Johann Heinrich, age 15; Johann[es], age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a pink named Новая Двинка (New Dvinka [a river in Russia]) under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 47 under the surname of Pelletier [sic].
Johann Heinrich Bellendier and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Köhler in Household No. Kl35.
Heinrich Bellender, son of Johann Heinrich Bellendier, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Leichtling in Household No. 57.
Philipp Bellendier, son of Heinrich Bellendier, from Leichtling and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Marienfeld.
Peter Bellendier, son of Heinrich Bellendier, is recorded on the 1850 census of Leichtling in Household No. 61 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Schuck.
Johannes Bellendier and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Köhler in Household No. Kl41.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Belodie [sic] came from France. The 1767 census records that Andreas Pelletier [sic] came from the French village of Esse [?].
Some branches of the family use the spelling of Bolender.
